Course short description
This course is intended for those who have already taken their first steps in Unreal Engine and want to move on. The lessons will introduce you to the development of chamber projects with corridor levels and a full walkthrough.
Common questions about the course:
1. What do you need to already know to take this course? It is advisable to take this course with the most basic knowledge of Unreal Engine, but you can cope with computer skills and intelligence.
2 . What will I learn in this course? You will learn how to create games with corridor levels and walkthroughs. You can also view the list of lessons to highlight the knowledge that is important to you.
3. Is there a ready-made project in the public domain (for reference, something to look at, etc.)? Not in the public domain. The video course involves completing tasks independently. In the end, you should end up with a project identical to the author’s, but with your individual solutions. If you have any questions about the topic, you can ask the author.
4. Will I be able to get a job after this course? There are no courses after which you will be able to get a job immediately. This is a separate profession that needs to be learned. In addition to knowledge, you will need honed skills. I can only guarantee you that after diligently completing the course, you will be ready to create simple projects. At the initial stage, you should not immediately think about finding a job. Focus on learning and gaining development skills. Over time, your own projects will contribute to the expansion of your personal portfolio, which is attached to your resume and quoted when searching for a job. If you manage to develop a high-quality game without using developments protected by copyright, you will be able to sell games and earn income. This course is designed to help you take the first step.
5. In what format are the classes held? The classes are held in the format of video lessons, after which you are given practical tasks. Each subsequent lesson uses the work of the previous one, so it is recommended to complete the tasks in order.
6. Is Blueprint taught here? Programming in C++ and Blueprint is not the main goal of the course. However, as part of the work being performed, we will study its individual elements. After completing the course, you will be able to use Blueprint to create the necessary basic elements of the game, as well as quite complex ones (for example, a combat system with combo attacks and blocking).
